1. Definition of report text
Report text is a text which presents information about something, as it is. It'a a result of systematic observation and analysis.
(Teks Laporan merupakan suatu teks yang menampilkan informasi mengenai sesuatu hal. Teks Laporan merupakan hasil dari pengamatan dan pengenalan yang di lakukan secara sistematis)
2. Generic Structure of report text
Report text memiliki 2 kerangka penulisan, Yaitu:
a. General Classification (Stating classification of general aspect of thing, animal, public place, plant, etc which will be discussed in general)
b. Description (Describing the thing which will be discussed in detail, part per part, customs or deed for living creature and usage for materials.
3. Language Features of report text
Terdapat beberapa kriteria bahasa yang di gunakan untuk penulisan teks laporan, yaitu :
a. Introducing group or general aspect
b. Using conditional logical connection (When, so etc)
c. Using simple present tense

The Pelican report
The white pelican is one of the most succesful fist eating bird. (General classification)
The success is largely due to its command hunting behaviour. A group, perhaps two dozen birds, will gather in a curved are some distance offshore. The birds then begin to move forward toward the shore, beating the water furiously with their wings, driving the fish before them.
